HOUSING COUNSELING                                                      Español

BPNC is a nonprofit organization certified by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) to provide free housing counseling services to low and moderate income families.

OUR SERVICES

Housing Counseling
BPNC offers one-on-one counseling sessions to guide you through the homebuying process or to assist you in making an informed decision about refinancing. A housing counselor will work with you to create a budget to determine how much house you can afford, improve your credit, identify possible downpayment assistance and review available mortgage loan products. We will also advise you on choosing an attorney, real estate and insurance agent.

Home Ownership Workshops
BPNC offers workshops for first time homebuyers. Our workshops cover a variety of topics including, the pros and cons of homeownership, budgeting, understanding your credit, finding a mortgage loan that is right for you, looking for a home, and the closing process.

Credit Counseling
Lenders, credit card companies, landlords and even employers review your credit history to make important decisions that impact your life. One-on-one sessions are available to pull and review your credit report. BPNC will work with you to develop strategies to build and improve your credit to reach your financial goals.

Financial Literacy Workshops
BPNC offers a variety of bilingual financial literacy workshops on topics including, basics of banking, budgeting, understanding credit, basics of investing, and starting your own small business.
